Conducting Subject-Specific Job Searches
Although it seems logical that if you live in a particular area, you will know where and how within that area to look for a job, that is not always (or often) the case.
If you have found yourself sitting at your computer Googling such terms as English teacher, technical writer, editor, or newspaper reporter, then you know how daunting the task can be. How exactly do you wade through 117, 421 hits? Or, worse yet, what if your search returns NOTHING?
In addition to offering links to good overall resources for academic, writing, and editing jobs, this page will provide you basic job search sources for three specific types of positions: teaching, technical writing, and journalism.
