Classified Section Searches
As covered on another page at this site (local jobs), searching the classified section of local newspapers--or ones in cities in which you'd like to live--is a great way to start the job search. Search daily, but really spend some time with the Sunday editions.
If you'd like to remain in the New River Valley, you should begin your search with the online version of the New River Valley Current (see link below), a tabloid insert in the Roanoke Times devoted to Cburg, Bburg, Radford, and surrounding areas.
And don't forget the university newspaper, as it also has a classified section.
