Gustavus Myers Book Award
The Gustavus Myers Outstanding Book Award is presented by the Gustavus Myers Center for the Study of Bigotry and Human Rights at the University of Arkansas. The award recognizes the best books on human rights in a given year.
Gustavus Myers was an early 20th Century historian who pioneered the study of race in North America. In 1943, he published History of Bigotry in the United States.
Steven Salaita won the Gustavus Myers Outstanding Book Award in 2008 for Anti-Arab Racism in the USA.
