Virginia Tech Honor System Website: Guided Tour You can reach all the points on the tour via the Undergraduate Honor System website homepage. The homepage will open in a new browser window, leaving this window open so that you may return to it easily. Stop 1. Honor System Website Homepage Stop 2. Read both of the first two short pages--Info for Incoming Freshmen and What is the Honor System--to find out about the University Honor Pledge and how it applies to you, as well as the functions of the Honor Code in the University. Stop 3. Select How Does it Work? Read through this page and find out, among other things, who the judicial panel members of the Honor System are--who will decide on the guilt or innocence of students accused of Honor Code violations.. (Of course, every student and every instructor is part of the Honor System as a whole!) Stop 4. Check out the Statistics link and find out whether the number of cases has increased or decreased in the past few years. Stop 5. Select the Constitution link and find out the following:
When you've finished the tour, Go on to the Self-Test. The Self-Test will open in a new browser window, leaving this window open, along with any Honor Website window you have kept open, for easy reference as you work on the Test. Self-Test Tip: Read the test items carefully, especially if you take the Self-Test a second time. The questions will be the same, but the order will be different. Some students taking the test again have clicked quickly on similar-looking answers and gotten the them wrong again and again! "All of the above" is sometimes the right answer and sometimes the wrong answer.
