"A Feast of Words" newsletter is now an online publication
The Spring 2012 issue of "A Feast of Words," the Department of English's newsletter, marks its debut as an online publication.
Four image galleries, a film snippet (in the story on Jane Wemhoener), and links to outside sites scattered throughout the text are designed to make the issue interactive.
Whenever you see a small image, hover your mouse over it. A larger version of it should appear. Whenever you find text of a different color - like an author's name or a book title - click on it. You should be taken to the web site for the person, place, or thing.
"A Feast of Words" is available in two versions (both links re-direct to PDF files):
- Interactive PDF (requires Acrobat PDF reader).
- Standard PDF (recommended for iPad, iPhone and other tablet-like devices).
When you open either version, you will be asked to decide between regular and full screen viewing modes. Both versions are best viewed in full screen mode.
To navigate from page to page in either version, you can simply click through using the up and down arrows on your computer or click your mouse button(s). The page navigation in the footer on each page has been tested and should work, although there could be some residual problems.
This magazine was largely written and designed by a team of undergraduate students, supervised by Jen Mooney:
Mike Breitenbach (ENGL), Kevin Burke (COMM major, ENGL minor), Ally Hammond (ENGL), Karen Spears (ENGL), Whitney Jones (ENGL), and Sean Simons (ENGL) round up the team.
