photoMy principle areas of research have dealt with unreliable narration and the hero as a polarizing figure.  I have examined how these topics pertain to emergence of the ‘modern’ novel and to what ends these techniques are employed.  I focus primarily on early twentieth-century authors who have helped develop contemporary literature despite coming from disparate cultural and historical backgrounds.  Corollary to my research has been an in-depth look at Arthurian and German Medieval literature in addition to the noir genre.  I also write short stories and novellas.
