Qualifications
Required
- PhD (in hand at the time of appointment) in Rhetoric and Writing or related field
- Preparation in digital rhetoric, new media, and professional writing
- The promise of significant research and publication
- Evidence of successful teaching
Preferred
- Publication and conference presentations
- Teaching/working with diverse populations
Responsibilities
- Ongoing publication commensurate with a research faculty position
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in professional writing and rhetoric with opportunities to develop a course in multimodal writing
- Serving on departmental, college, and university committees
- Advising students
Teaching load: 2:2
